Halwa Recipe for Babies of 6 Months and Above

Ingredients:​

  • 1/2 cup of semolina (sooji)
  • 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons of raw sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  • 1 cardamom pod
  • 1 tablespoon of almond meal
  • Water

Instructions:​

  1. Melt the butter in a pan on medium heat.
  2. Add the cardamom pod and fry for half a minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the semolina, sugar, milk, and a little water to help dissolve the sugar.
  4. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly until you get a smooth, pudding-like consistency.
  5. Finally, add the almond meal and stir well.
  6. Serve warm or at room temperature in small portions throughout the day.

Notes:​

  • This recipe makes a soft, easy-to-digest halwa suitable for babies of 6 months and above.
  • You can adjust the consistency of the halwa by adding more or less water depending on your baby's preference.
