Irresistible Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies: A Perfect Blend of Creamy and Crunchy

Here I am honored to present a yummy recipe of Cookies for Kids as I love them too ;) :p

Hope you all will like it..

Ingredients:​

  • 2 1/2 cups (300g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup (225g) butter, salted or unsalted
  • 1 cup (250g) peanut butter, smooth or chunky
  • 1 cup (200g) light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (100g) white sugar
  • 1 cup (180g) chocolate chips or chopped plain chocolate
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:​

  1. In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt (if using unsalted butter). Set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the butter, peanut butter, and both sugars until light and creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the vanilla extract and beat again.
  3. Gradually add the flour mixture to the mixing bowl and stir until well combined. Then add the chocolate chips and mix until evenly distributed.
  4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to 3 hours.
  5. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  6. Roll the chilled dough into balls about 1 inch in size and place them on a baking sheet, leaving enough space between each cookie. Use a lightly floured fork or potato masher to flatten each ball in a criss-cross pattern.
  7. Bake the cookies for about 10 minutes or until they start to brown around the edges. Do not over-bake as they will become crispy as they cool.
  8. Remove the cookies from the oven and transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Store the cookies in an airtight container to keep them crispy.
